Podernuovo since 1958
Federico Bartolomei, cultivated his passion through studies in wine-making and experience at renowned local wineries. Guided by renowned masters such as Giacomo Tachis and Vittorio Fiore, Federico took the reins of the family business in the late 1990s.

In 2000, he undertook an expansion of the vineyards and took over the direct management of the company together with his father Ilvo. This period also saw the creation of the Orcia appellation, a significant moment in Podernuovo's journey. With an ambitious vision, investments were made in a new wine cellar, while production grew steadily and the winegrowing areas were expanded, including the prestigious Brunello di Montalcino DOCG appellation.

Today, Podernuovo boasts about 11 hectares of vineyards, spread between Montalcino and the Val d'Orcia, where Federico continues to cultivate wines of superior quality. His dedication and passion are reflected in every bottle that bears the Podernuovo name.
